Each year, the Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington (now the DC Creative Guild) allows its members and non-members to enter their work into a juried competition. The winning entries are then featured in a perfect-bound, softcover show catalog. A chewing gum theme was developed where a gumball machine served as a metaphor for the creative process. While the process often begins simply, the multitude of ideas that ultimately result, grow, and stick becomes quite complex. This 100-page book was designed and distributed to members of the Club following a spring awards gala event.
