"Steven Heller Speaks" Poster
Steven Heller, perhaps the most prolific design writer/historian, came to Washington to speak on the history of design for totalitarian states to the Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington (now the DC Creative Guild). Covering design of the Third Reich, Mussolini’s Fascist Italy, and Soviet and Chinese Communist states, Mr. Heller discussed their graphic propaganda. This 24″ x 36″ poster was created and mailed to over 1200 ADCMW members. “Party” buttons were also produced for the event. These were presented and distributed in a replica German WWII helmet at the event.
